Day 1: Flight to Jinka – Ari Tribe & South Omo Museum

Take a domestic flight to Jinka, one of the gateways to Omo Valley tours. Upon arrival, visit the Ari tribe village, where you can experience their daily activities, farming, and traditional practices. Continue to the South Omo Ethnological Museum, which offers a fascinating introduction to the diverse cultures of the Omo Valley. Later, transfer to your lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Jinka – Mursi & Benna Tribes – Turmi (Hamar Village)

After breakfast, drive towards Turmi. En route, visit the Mursi people, renowned for the clay lip plates worn by women. Continue your journey and visit the Benna tribe, where children are often seen walking on tall wooden stilts. Depending on the day, you may also visit the Dimeka market, one of the most colorful tribal markets in the Omo Valley. Upon arrival in Turmi, visit a nearby Hamar tribe village.

Day 3: Excursion to Omorate – Dassanech or Karo Tribe – Drive to Karat

Today, embark on a cultural excursion with two options. You may cross the Omo River to meet the Dassanech tribe, or visit the Karo tribe, known for their elaborate body painting and decorative scarification. After your tribal visit, continue to Karat town, the homeland of the Konso people. Explore their fascinating villages and discover the UNESCO-registered Konso cultural landscape, a remarkable system of terracing and stonework unique to their heritage.

Day 4: Konso – Lake Chamo – Dorze Village – Arbaminch

In the morning, visit the lively Konso market (held on Mondays), then proceed to Arbaminch town. Enjoy a boat trip on Lake Chamo, where you can observe crocodiles, hippos, and water birds. Afterward, check in at your hotel for lunch. Later, drive to the Dorze village, famous for their weaving craftsmanship and towering beehive-shaped houses. Depending on the day, you may also visit the local market, join traditional dances, and taste dishes made from the false banana plant.

Day 5: Return to Addis Ababa & Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Addis Ababa which is the ending of your Omo valley tours Ethiopia. Upon arrival, enjoy a mini city tour, including a visit to the National Museum of Ethiopia. In the evening, join a delightful farewell dinner with cultural music and dance at a traditional restaurant. Finally, you will be transferred to the airport for your international departure.
